Wind River Food Sovereignty Project
The Wind River Food Sovereignty Project believes that communities have the right to define their own food systems and that all people deserve equitable access to food and education. We work to increase access to fresh, healthy food by supporting community production using sustainable practices and guided by indigenous ecological knowledge. Our project is working to build a Land to School learning garden and demonstration farm. We run the Wind River Farmers Market and have developed a producer support program that provides start-up funds, technical assistance, and mentorship opportunities to Native food producers.
