Terrell James

Terrell James is an educator, activist, and Ph.D. at UMass Amherst. He is currently working with Gardening the Community and the Springfield Food Policy, where he facilitates workshops around power, structural inequities, and social change. He is also on the learning and evaluation team for Fertile Ground LLC which supports community organizations working to improve the local food system in Springfield. At UMass, Terrell is the program director for IMPACT, a critical service-learning program for college students. He is also a trainer for the UMass Alliance for Community Transformation, where he supports the course Grassroots Community Organizing.
