Synthia Scott-Mitchell

Synthia Scott-Mitchell is the mother of 2 adult daughters, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grands. She is Director of Community Services at Springfield Partners for Community Action, Inc and has been with the agency for 30 plus years and oversees the agencies direct Community Services Division. She’s founding member and past president of Mason Square Farmer’s Market, Founding member, chair and current co-chair of the Springfield Food Policy Council, Community Faculty member for Baystate Health PURCH and chair Springfield Dementia Friendly Coalition. Ms. Scott-Mitchell’s background include project development, implementation, grant writing, strategic planning, program oversight and budget management. Scott-Mitchell, is the recipient of several awards for her professional and community work, including Employee Excellence Award presented by fellow community action peers, citation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives, graduate of the Emerging Leaders Institute at UMass, Faith in Action Board, Mason Square Health Taskforce, Live Well Springfield and grant reviewer for Tuffs Health Foundation.
