Sierra Stewart
Sierra Stewart is a young black and Mexican-American woman, who’s been doing social justice work since her freshman year, as she’s always believed youth are the voice for change. That’s why she joined Pa’lante in her freshman year, where their mission was to interrupt the school-to-prison pipeline using circle practice and YPAR (Youth Participatory Action Research). She’s still at Pa’lante, on staff as the Youth Coordinator, where she focuses on building Holyoke youths’ inherent power! She plans to one day co-create a community resource housing center with her best friend, where they can focus on building youth up in many aspects of their lives.
