Ranier Amiel Wood

Ranier Amiel Wood has been an artist all her life, and graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Studio Art with an emphasis on painting. Along the way she studied everything she could that was at all creatively based, from architecture to photography, (with an eventual education that spanned 6 years, 5 schools, and three continents) trying to find something more practical to do than paint. Eventually she gave up. After school, adamant in her belief that people don’t actually get to DO art, she focussed on growing her career in fitness and wellness, which she did until was the owner of her own studio and founder of two fitness methods. Three years ago, while laying on a couch in harlem, a vision overtook her. She saw a show of what seemed to essentially be vulva paintings and herself leading the experience of visceral magic, reclamation, and divinity. Whatever it was that came into her that night has not let her rest since. This vision became the project Vulveré, and changed her life completely. Painting became no longer optional but essential, and she opened a new business that is a movement space in the front and a large painting studio in the back. She now is a full time artist and paints women from all over the world. Changing her and their lives in the process. And she could not be happier or more honored to do so.
