My vision has always been to find a way to bring my knowledge and passion for creating into dialogue with working the land. The farm sits on about 5 acres just north of Winston-Salem, NC in Forsyth County. While there are many farms in Forsyth county, very few, are owned and run by black or POC farmers. My intention is to begin cultivating the land in the spring of 2019 to provide a small CSA and also experiment with some land-sharing practices with local urban gardeners. My plan is to expand each year, eventually providing produce and herbs to a number POC-owned groceries on the north side. In addition, I plan to renovate a barn located on the property that will serve as both a safe meeting space and living quarters for artists/makers/conveners to come take up residence for short periods and to work and provide workshops to local students and community members.
