My name is Nate Etsitty. I am Diné from Greasewood Springs. A small community on the Navajo Nation in Northeastern Arizona. I am a grower of food and ideas. I am a permaculture enthusiast. I put a Dine’ spin on permaculture and promote self-sustainability by embracing new techniques and remembering old traditional desert ways of living. Most of my work is centered in food sovereignty. We teach gardening, from seed starting to seed harvesting to local communities by facilitating free workshops where anyone is welcome. We make growing nutrient dense foods accessible, affordable, and possible so our people can heal.
