Gangstas to Growers
Gangstas to Growers (G2G) is a social enterprise focused on building worker-owned cooperatives that provide opportunities for employment, empowerment, and entrepreneurship in agriculture for at-risk youth and formerly incarcerated individuals. It was founded in 2016 as the inaugural program of The Come Up Project, an umbrella initiative launching social enterprise cooperatives and training programs for community-based solutions. G2G provides economic opportunity and mobility to Black youth in under-served and targeted Atlanta communities. Today, G2G is an entrepreneurial internship program as well as a manufacturing enterprise distributing locally-sourced, plant-based hot sauce, Sweet Sol, to sustain its community programming.
