Cruces Creatives
Cruces Creatives is a 501(c)(3) makerspace in Las Cruces, New Mexico, that works to foster economic development, further education, support the arts, protect the environment, strengthen social connections, and advance science and technology by connecting people with the tools, training, and community to make practically anything. Operating from a 12,400 ft2 facility in downtown Las Cruces, New Mexico, Cruces Creatives provides community access to a vast range of tools, 50-60 classes and workshops a month (many of them free), and a diverse, supportive network of over 10,000 makers.The makerspace itself, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, is also a tool that staff and community members use to launch multidisciplinary charitable programs. Major current programs include CommunityShare Las Cruces, which connects teachers and classrooms with community partners, makerspace tools, and funding for classroom projects; and the Seeding Regenerative Agriculture Project, which coordinates a statewide cooperative network of sustainable farmers and ranchers.
