Coalicion de Derechos Humanos / Arizona Border Rights Foundation

The CDH was organized in 1993, incorporated as Arizona Border Rights Foundation (following mobilizing since 1976), shifting its work from a civil rights to a human rights framework. We have been committed to: strengthen the capacity of borderlands communities to assert their human rights and to participate in public policy decisions; increase public awareness of the human rights violations, assaults, and deaths along the border resulting from immigration and border policies; advocate for changes in border and immigration policies. Bringing attention to the struggles of Indigenous Peoples along the border, we organized the Alianza Indigena Sin Fronteras in 1997.
