Anika Nailah

Cultural liberationist, fiction/non-fiction author, performance poet, and former instructor at Wheaton, Cambridge, and Smith colleges, Anika Nailah is the founder/former director of Books of Hope, a Boston-area program that helps young people write, publish, and sell their own books. A social justice consultant and writing coach, Anika uses the arts to hold healing space to interrupt racism.

Currently she is touring Langston Hughes-inspired Every Day in the USA: 30 Black Moments, which combines 30 black and white ironic, sometimes humorous illustrations by C. Andrew Williams and her words, depicting everyday microaggressions experienced by African Americans in the USA.
